Derek Goodman

PRESIDENT

​Derek joined Goodman Electric full-time in 2012 after completing a degree in Business. He served as COO of Goodman Electric from 2012 to 2016, managing day-to-day administrative needs, contract procurement, customer management and the financial needs of the company as well as actively participating in the Northern Arizona Contractor’s Association. During that time Derek managed the procurement and maintenance of multiple JOC contracts.

In August of 2016 Derek left Goodman Electric to pursue an International MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. During the course of his schooling, Derek worked on various aspects of business administration and helped found an on-demand home maintenance service company in Madrid through the schools prestigious Venture Lab program. Following graduation in August of 2017, Derek returned to Goodman Electric and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer prior to purchasing the business in 2018. Derek is directly involved in the day-to-day operations of all facets of the company’s services.

Derek enjoys the outdoors, having grown up in Flagstaff, and loves spending time with his wife and kids. He is active in several different elements of the community, volunteering as a director for youth activities for youth in his church, working as an assistant football coach at the local high school, and serving as the Secretary and Treasurer for the Northern Arizona Electrical Contractors Association.
